We cannot recommend Juliann enough! She was so gentle and careful during the whole session and was so patient. We never felt rushed even when our little one just wanted to feed the whole time or be held by us. Thank you so much Juliann and we cannot wait to book more sessions!

I have always seemed to be uneasy and nervous when a new person is handling my baby (in any situation). Watching you, I was instantly put to ease with your calm and gentle approach. Newborns are so good at sensing new people and surroundings but in our experience Kennedy wasn’t bothered or focused on any of that.  She was relaxed and comfortable with you making the process very smooth.
Working with little babies in that manner requires more of a natural nurturing trait then a learned one. So glad we had you to capture our first year journey and many more to come.

We were so blessed to have found Juliann Courtney to capture some of the greatest moments of our lives.  She preserved the memory of my pregnancy by taking my maternity photos (which we adored!), but we truly fell in love with Juliann when she so delicately and beautifully handled Makenna during her newborn session.  Not only was it so sweet watching Juliann love on our little girl, she got some amazing shots!  Juliann is talented behind the camera and has a personality that makes her subjects comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera.  If a picture is worth a thousand words, Juliann Courtney is invaluable!

You are beyond amazing to work with! With Adalyn being premature we were terrified of germs, her head and neck control for posing, and most of all her feeling comfortable and not overstimulated. You read her every cue with perfection and within 5 minutes I knew you were the perfect choice. Fast forward 4 years and continued pictures for our oldest daughter and pictures from our younger daughter since birth.. I am still overjoyed that we found you. Thank you for all that you do.

Juliann Courtney is the best!! We’ve used her for 5 years now, starting with newborn pics for our oldest (after having a negative experience). Our first was a preemie and I was devastated that we missed the chance for “newborn” pics after the first session fail. It was so stressful for our little one during that session. Juliann saved the day! Her ability to work with mom and baby’s schedule and provide developmentally/age appropriate techniques before and during the session ( warm room, gentle touch, swaddling, and no rush to me when we needed to stop and feed). Our girl just slept right through the session - amazing. She has tons of props (wraps, head bands/ties, etc). I’d tell her a color I liked and she set it all up. We did her Grow With Me package with both of our girls and was more impressed each time we went( 6 month photos with a crabby/snotty baby, 1 year old pictures with my little miss independent /wild child) I left thinking the girls weren’t having it so probably no good pictures -but somehow she has a way to capture just the right second and working with what they are doing vs trying to make for baby/child work for the set up. Absolutely would recommend her!

This is our 3rd photo shoot with Juliann and she is hands down the best photographer in the area! She's very friendly, flexible with my crazy work schedule, and always delivers incredible pictures that my family will treasure for a lifetime. Thank you Juliann for all of your great work! She did such an amazing job with my 3 month old! The pictures are GORGEOUS and I was able to see them the very next day. This was a surprise from my in-laws, so I didn't actually see the session happen, but based on the pictures alone, I would definitely recommend!

Today I took maternity photos with Juliann and they turned out so wonderful!  Considering the state and size I am right now, she made me feel very comfortable and at ease during our session.  I just can't wait for my son to be born so she can take those photos next!  She is a wonderful photographer and I couldn't be more pleased!

I found Juliann by looking on Google and reading reviews. I am so glad I went with her. She is AMAZING! She took maternity pictures with me, my husband and our 2 dogs. The pictures were great. Then when we had our son she took newborn pictures at her home studio. The pictures she took of my newborn could not have turned out any better. They were everything I hoped for and more. She was so professional. She was able to take my son and put him in the cutest positions which got the best pictures. She did all the work while I sat back and watched. It was amazing. I would highly recommend her. I will be going back for all of our family pictures.

I just want to thank you again for our pictures.  My heart melts every time i flip through them!  I cannot even believe how beautiful these pictures are!  Everyone I show them to absolutely loves them and exclaims that they are gorgeous beyond belief.  They are so perfect!  And the way you were so gentle and soothing with her very much impressed me.  You have an amazing talent and I am definitely referring everybody I know in the Lawrence area to you!

Had our session yesterday and I was so impressed I had to come here and rave.  Every time I have ever had my three-year-old photographed, I have gotten comments about how "difficult" he is, because he is so active.  Juliann spent time talking and playing with him, and managed to get some amazing shots in the process.  This is seriously the first time *ever* that we walked away from a photo shoot smiling and in good spirits.  Thank you for understanding my boy, and capturing his personality so perfectly.

Just want to tell you that I absolutely love the baby photos.  They make my day.  Really.  As you know, both my boys are away from home.  And lately I've been thinking a lot about those baby days and how fast they disappear.  So it really does me good to see all those sweet, sweet babies that you photograph.  Your talent with the camera is amazing.  Glad you have found your passion.

I'm so thankful I found Juliann!  She is amazing!  Makes you feel so comfortable!  I have very high expectations and she went above and beyond them!  The wraps are gorgeous!  And I saw some of the props for newborn and they are also perfect in every way :)  The sneak peek pictures that I've seen are to die for!  We drove over an hour to get to her and it's worth every penny and more!!  She definitely takes pride in what she does.  Can't wait for our newborn shoot in October!
